Tasting Notes: A big, spicy and dark wine with toasted, blackened notes of blue fruit, charred oak and singed earth. All around, dense and brooding with bright, intense acidity. A wine to which you might want to say, "Dude, chill already." Open this one for the adventure seekers in your life, not the faint of heart or the romantics. Drink 2023-2025.

Tasting Notes: Modest Wines' Little Green Red is anything but little, with a bold, spicy nose and bright, racy acidity on the equally spicy palate. But, it is a tad green, with under-ripe, rustic tannins and flavours of green pepper and raw peppercorn mingling amongst the juicy black fruit notes. A touch of lovely aromatics on the developing bouquet add an element of class to this meat-friendly, dinner companion. Drink 2021-2023.

Date Tasted: August 206, 2009

Tasting Notes: This is a beautiful Australian wine. It is opaque and concentrated. The nose is cedar and deep blackberries that continue onto the palate with a full-bodied mouth-feel. The finish had hints of spice and lasted forever.

I highly recommend this wine. An interesting note was when Icon Wines did a tasting with John Glaetzer at a local wine retailer he mentioned that Pirramimma makes a good petit verdot. He wasn't kidding. This is a powerhouse. At that price folks should be stockpiling!! HC
