Tasting Notes: A serious, cellar worthy Merlot enhanced with 6% Cabernet Franc and 1% Syrah which heighten the aromatics on the intense, dark berry fruit and savoury, licorice'n'cola nose with playful notes of violets and cherry. The palate has benefited from the extra bottle aging that Tinhorn employs for their Oldfield Series wines, with developing characters of blended fruit and savoury flavours supported by fine tannins and perfectly balanced acidity through to a long finish with a touch of lingering spice. Ready to go now, though will hold for many years if desired. Drink 2013-2017.
