Fort Berens Estate Winery 2012 Pinot Gris - 87pts
Availability: Direct from winery here
Production: 434 cases
Date Tasted: May 21st, 2013
Tasting Notes: One of the nicer smelling Pinot Gris in BC, especially when given time in the glass to open up (and warm up slightly), revealing ripe pear and honeydew aromas with light mineral notes in the background. The dry palate follows starting fresh and juicy then turns a tad bitter when the wave of citrus acidity takes over the palate briefly until the orchard and mineral flavours return for the long finish with lingering clove notes. Drink 2013-2015.
