Tasting Notes: An intense, dense nose of mixed berry fruit, violet and cherry-cola aromas with subtle oak and game notes precedes a lush, equally intense, fluid palate with similar flavours and additional cigar box, spice and French vanilla characters. Generous complexity leads to repeated appreciation of the developing bouquet which would benefit from another year of bottle aging to mellow and mature. Smooth, integrated tannins are a touch green and won't "ripen" over time, but don't distract from the enjoyment. Lively acid and light mineral notes create a cool and refreshing mouth feel. Pair with chili pepper infused dark chocolate or dry-rub BBQ ribs. Drink 2012-2015.
