Tasting Notes: Classic Southern Australia characters of intense raspberry, eucalyptus, cedar, peppermint and spicy pepper aromas and flavours. Aging adds a complex bouquet of savoury fruit and nibs as a result of the intense fruit aromas having mellowed and developed. Same goes for the dry palate which avoids being over-extracted, or "jammy", and whose round tannins and medium-plus acidity support the fruit flavours. Yummy.
At five years of age this Shiraz is still fresh and suggests it will last another five, however, it's drinking great now and won't likely develop further, so why wait? Pair with grilled lamb chops with mint jelly. Drink 2010-2015.
