Tasting Notes: This unique clone of Chardonnay is heavy on the aromatics and has been treated simply by the Chateau Des Charmes winemaking team to allow the grapes to showcase their natural perfumed and delicate fruit character without influence from popular winemaking tricks. Sweetly scented with orange blossom and candied lime aromas, this Chard sees no oak, yet, the palate is full with ripe, fat orchard fruit and sweet citrus tang that continues through to the balanced, long finish that resolves to lingering clove spice. A good match for oily fish like halibut or lightly smoked salmon. Drink now-2015.
