Tasting Notes: Black cherry and wild field berry aromas dominate the pleasing, intense and vibrant nose of this tasty Malbec from Naramata Bench winery La Frenz which also features vanilla-coke, nibs candy, oak and light spice notes. Not as ripe, tannic or full bodied on the tangy palate as the 2009 with some green, vegetal flavours present. Yet, it remains an intriguing, cool-climate take on the grape more commonly associated with Mendoza and Cahors. Drink 2012-2014.
