Tasting Notes: A rich Pinot Gris from new Oliver winery River Stone whose estate fruit is blended with grapes sourced from a nearby vineyard to produce a textured, full and flavourful wine bursting with baked apple, peach and lemon characters. Abundant acidity contrasts the sugar left on the palate nicely but together they can't mask the sizable residual alcohol (14.5%) leaving the wine's balance leaning towards "hot" and shortening the finish on this otherwise enjoyable Gris.
