Tasting Notes: This bone-dry Cabernet Franc from Lillooet-based Fort Berens Estate Winery opens with a gorgeous, fruity nose of red fruit, ripe plum, toasted oak and vanilla. Followed by a concentrated palate that begins juicy with intense dark berry, oak, spice and mint flavours and then finishes long with lingering earthy notes and mouth-watering acidity. Easy-going tannins help create a soft, silky texture in the mouth. Produced from fruit grown on the Black Sage Bench in the southern Okanagan. Pair with your Sunday roast or enjoy with a dessert of sea-salt infused dark chocolate. Drink 2011-2014.
