Tasting Notes: Quality Aussie Shiraz from John Glaetzer's side project Gipsie Jack Wine Co. Partnering with Langhorne Creek winemaker Bill Potts to create a blended, easy drinking line of quality, affordable wines. This has certainly been achieved.
The 2006 Shiraz is a drink now wine that still offers good complexity of flavours and aromas. The nose presents bright aromas of red berries and spicy pepper. The smooth palate has round tannins, vanilla, nice oak notes and bright berry flavours with lingering spice on the finish. Another good Aussie BBQ wine that will pair beautifully with grilled steak and ribs. Drink 2010-2012.
