Tasting Notes: An admirable and pleasantly fruity Pinot Noir from Gehringer Brothers bottled under their reserve label "Optimum". A bright nose of raspberry jam and strawberry liqueur with some sweet oak notes and a touch of vanilla. The palate is easy-going and food friendly with red berries prominent but lacks the depth of flavours one normally expects from a Pinot. High acid and medium tannins with a moderate finish. Drink now through 2012.
