Tasting Notes: A powerful, masculine expression of Syrah with oodles of rustic pepper and Chai spices; cloves, cinnamon bark and cardamon. Black cherry plays a supporting role on both the intense, Northern Rhone-ish nose and the dry, raw-tannin palate where layers of savoury flavours like coffee grinds, licorice and vanilla linger through to a long, spicy finish. Would benefit from one more year in bottle prior to opening. Drink 2018-2021.
