Tasting Notes: This medium ruby-purple hued rosé from Fort Berens is made for the first time with estate grown Pinot Noir from their Lillooet vineyard. The nose offers ripe strawberry Kool-Aid and sweet pollen aromas followed by a dry palate with similar flavours and added minerality. Though mouth watering and refreshing, it's the thin texture and overly tart balance, verging on bitter, that keeps this wine from scoring higher and becoming a favoured patio companion. A solid food wine with many pairing options but not one to be enjoyed on its own. Drink this wine in its youth. Drink 2012-2013.
