Tasting Notes: The gold-amber hued Reserve Chardonnay from Cassini Cellars is the next "must try" wine for lovers of oaked Chardonnay. Aromas of candied fruit, caramel apple, exotic tropical fruit and tangerines are prominent on the nose with savoury notes of oak and smoke.
The dry palate follows with highly concentrated orchard and candy-apple fruit flavours adding a perception of sweetness. All of the benefits of oaking are present; body, complexity and character - without the heaviness of excessive oak. May lack the refinement of the the Province's top Chardonnay, but is an outstanding wine in its own right. Drink 2011-2014.
