Tasting Notes: Recently awarded a Lieutenant Governor’s Award of Excellence, this Cabernet Franc leading blend (58% with 38% Merlot and 4% Malbec) offers an intense, tangy nose of dark berries, dark cherry, stinky cheese, licorice, anise and toasted oak aromas. The tanginess follows through to the dry palate where the acid is bright and powerful – definitely a wine best suited for food – a statement not meant to undercut the quality and well-earned accolades of this tasty wine. Sealed with a Stelvin cap, wisely, to lock in the freshness of the fruit flavours. Enjoy this wine now or hold for another 2-3 years. Drink 2011-2014.
