Tasting Notes: This dark garnet coloured wine offers great value for those interested in Bordeaux
wines but are intimidated by the price of many of the more famous Chateau. Produced in the outstanding 2005 vintage, this blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc delivers old-world subtlety with cassis, blueberry aromas and floral notes on the nose.The medium-plus bodied palate offers developing flavours of cassis, leather, pencil shavings and vanilla with well integrated, medium-plus tannins and medium acidity. A good wine to pair with roasted, savory meats and hearty vegetables. Drink now through 2013. - LC
