Tasting Notes: New Black Sage Bench winery River Stone introduces the valley's first Malbec rosé and it's a winner. The medium ruby hued wine offers a classic rosé nose of strawberry and pomegranate enhanced with subtle notes of plum, blueberry punch and minerals. The intense, dry, full-ish palate follows with mouth watering acidity, bold flavours of pomegranate, pink grapefruit and hints of balsamic vinegar with enough tannins to add texture and depth. A long, balanced finish with lingering cranberry tartness completes the experience. Enjoy this wine in the sunshine with friends as a fun, yet complex summer sipper or with your favourite BBQ burger. Drink 2011-2012.
