Tasting Notes: The Stag's Hollow 2009 Sauvignon Blanc may be the cure needed for the recent run of incredibly hot weather the Province of British Columbia has been experiencing. Crisp, yet juicy citrus fruits of grapefruit and lemon dominate the nose and palate of this refreshing, pale straw coloured wine. Dry, with just enough residual sugar (2 g/l) to tame the austere acidity and mineral notes nicely. A touch of exotic, tropical fruits on the palate add to the complexity and food-pairing possibilities.
