Tasting Notes: A delicious Pinot Noir that showcases the lovely balance between fruit and earth characters the Burgundian grape can achieve in BC when handled with care and cropped low. The Joie example is generous on the nose with gorgeous red fruit, spice and sweet forest floor aromas and light notes of vanilla, dried fruit and dried flowers.
Excellent continuity carries through from the nose to the dry, medium-plus bodied palate where the trio of red fruit, spice and earthy flavours shine. Tannins are mild, yet refined and structure the palate nicely while wild berry acidity keeps the finish refreshing and your mouth salivating for more. Enjoy this Pinot in its youth or over the next 2-3 years. Drink now-2017.

On a side note: The Naramata Bench based winery has made the difficult decision (financially speaking) to hold back their "En Famille" reserve wine an extra year starting with the 2012 vintage releases which means the firm's reserve Pinot won't be released until the Fall of 2015.
